Born in Greensboro, North Carolina, she trained at the Conservatory of Theatre Arts at SUNY Purchase and has appeared in stage, film, and independent projects. Based in Queens, New York, Burris is also a photographer and multidisciplinary artist, blending storytelling across screen and stage.
