Even though I am not usually a fan of the come back to life revenge vertical, the actors completely make this story work. This series delivers a time-travel revenge arc that actually makes sense and feels entirely earned. The dialogue crackles with bite; Elena doesn’t scream, she cuts; and the heavy drama is beautifully balanced with bits of comedy sprinkled in (like that last reel; no spoilers!) that make the film very enjoyable.
The cast absolutely commands the screen: Melissa Goodwin’s transformation from victim to viper is pure theater, Alex Allsop brings a smooth villainy you can't look away from, Connor Horrigan’s Damien radiates the perfect mix of charm and rot, and Marina (Lauren Staerk) gives us that classic desperate energy that just works. The entire creative team and the supporting cast playing June, Aunt Grace, Hailey Wilson, and Victoria Parker deserve so much credit for making this world pop.
