  • A brilliantly chaotic culinary comedy with an elite cast

Equal parts romance, chaos, and kitchen drama, this vertical is a full-course meal with a side of sass. Rachel Coopes is a revelation; every eye-roll, every perfectly-timed reaction shot, every moment her face drains of color… she’s the cool, unflappable heroine we all wish we could be. Kenny Resch’s Leo? Basically the green flag male lead unicorn we Love to get. Their chemistry is warm and low-key adorable, especially in the gala scenes. Then Emma Dusenbury storms in as Jennifer; part femme fatale, part unhinged villainess; with a glare that could cut glass and a perfume that should be classified as chemical warfare. She’s gloriously terrifying. Jack Snyder’s Nick nearly steals the whole show, especially in the locksmith scene. Yes, the cooking bits drag the pace a little, but when the cast is this good, you don’t really mind. It’s fun, it’s fiery, and it’s proof that sometimes the best recipe is a dash of chaos, a spoonful of heart, and at least one completely unhinged villain.
